The Sound of Color

(TSOC for short)

Sixteen-year-old Star has spent most of her life in an orphanage, and the only thing that’s kept her going is an old, worn journal that was once her mother’s.  Inside its pages are stories of the mysterious Defenders – people who keep the peace between the nations, who look out for the lost and the lonely.  When Star gets the chance to run away from the orphanage, she does, hoping that maybe someone in her new hometown will have heard of Spiritus, the city where people become Defenders.  But getting to the City won’t be easy, and becoming a Defender won’t be anything like she’s dreamed.

This is my first novel, complete at 70,000 words.  If you’re interested in being a Beta Reader, click here.
